Tips tonight. Wages Friday. Rent doesn't care. Know what's covered.
Every dollar you earn lands on a different day. Covered plans your bills around those days and shows the one number that matters: how much you still need to earn before the period ends, and roughly how many hours that is.
Drag the tips in the example. The number is live.
still to earn by Friday
About 2 hours of DoorDash at your usual $41 an hour

Sunday at Olive & Vine
Example budget. Expected income is not spendable until it lands.
A week, the way your money actually arrives.
Scrub through the week. Money that has not landed yet is hatched. When it lands it goes solid. Notice what does not change: the amount you still need to earn. Covered counted the card tips and the wages the moment you logged the shift, so the number never lurches on payday and never lies to you on Monday.
Bank balance of $118 at the start of the week, before the shift. Same example as above, plus a DoorDash payout.
Every dollar is in one of three states.
The same bar appears on your home screen, on every bill, and on the widget. The states are carried by the fill, not just the colour, so they read at a glance and at any size.
In hand
Money in your bank or in your pocket. Cash tips count the moment you log them.
Landing
Money that is certain but has not arrived. Card tips on Tuesday, wages on Friday, a payout on Wednesday.
Still to earn
The gap between what you have and what the period needs. Shown as dollars, and as hours at your usual rate.
How it works
Log a shift in ten seconds
Hours prefilled from last week. Cash tips, card tips, tip out. Each field says when that money lands. A reminder on shift nights asks at the moment you know the answer.
Every dollar knows when it lands
Set your income schedule once. Covered works out when each part of a shift's money arrives and only counts it when it does.
Monthly bills on a weekly paycheck
Rent is monthly. You are paid weekly. Covered splits every bill into what to set aside this period and carries it forward if a week comes up short.
Your bank does the paperwork
Connect a supported bank and wages and payouts are marked as landed when they arrive. Cash tips are the only thing you will ever type, because your bank never sees them.
Gig work counts
Log DoorDash and Uber Eats sessions alongside your shifts. Covered learns your usual hourly rate and turns "still need $85" into "about two hours".
Share a household
Split rent with a partner? Invite them, approve their access, and everyone sees the same envelopes and the same number. Your own shifts stay yours.
Bills that fund themselves as the money lands.
Each bill shows the same three states. When a bill is fully set aside it just says so, and the word doing the work is the name of the app.

A widget with the headline figure and the bar. A reminder on shift nights with a one-tap way to log tips. Built for 11:30 at night, one-handed, standing in a restaurant or a car.

Questions
Can I include delivery work?
Yes. Log DoorDash, Uber Eats or any other gig session by hand alongside your shifts, with the payout and the day it is expected to land.
What does connecting a bank do?
It brings in balances and transactions from supported US banks so Covered can mark wages and payouts as landed when they arrive. You may still review and categorise some transactions.
Does Covered move my money?
No. Covered reads balances and transactions through a bank-data provider, Plaid or Stripe Financial Connections. It cannot move money and never sees your bank login.
Can I set things up before linking a bank?
Yes. Create envelopes and log shifts and income first. The preview you see before linking does not include your bank balance or a confirmed shortfall.
What does it cost?
Covered is a subscription. Any introductory trial depends on the offer and your eligibility, and the App Store shows the exact terms before you confirm. Logging shifts stays free.
Is my data sold or shared?
No advertising, no data brokers, no selling of your data. Our privacy policy is written from what the app actually does.
