Covered terms of use
Effective 17 September 2026. These terms are between you and Deliberately Useful, the maker of Covered. Using the app means you accept them.
What Covered is
A budgeting app. It shows you numbers based on what you enter and, if you link a bank, on what your bank reports. It is not financial advice, it does not move money, and it can be wrong when a bank is late, a transaction is pending, or an entry is mistyped. Check with your bank before relying on a figure.
Your account and household
You need an account to use Covered. You are responsible for what happens under it. Household members you invite see the household's shared data at the role you set; invite people you trust. Owners can remove members and must hand ownership over before leaving.
Subscription
Covered has no free plan. Linking a bank starts a subscription with a free trial through the App Store; the trial begins when you confirm the purchase, not when you install the app. After the trial the subscription renews at the price shown in the App Store until you cancel there. When nobody in a household is subscribed, the household becomes read-only with export available, and its bank connections are removed 30 days later. Logging shifts stays free.
Bank connections
Bank connections are provided by Plaid or Stripe Financial Connections under that provider's end-user terms and privacy policy. You authorise Covered to receive the account and transaction data you select when you link. You can remove a connection at any time.
Acceptable use
Do not use Covered to store data you have no right to, to interfere with the service, or to reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time from Settings; that removes your data as the privacy policy describes. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Liability
Covered is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Deliberately Useful is not liable for losses that come from relying on a figure in the app, from a bank's data, or from the app being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Questions: hello@covered.tips.
